Miami

Echo Brickell

Echo Brickell towering at 60 stories is located at Miami’s Financial District. With views overlooking Biscayne Bay, the curved lines of the building were conceptualized by world renowned Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott with partnership from the developer, Property Markets Group.

Following suit to the sinuous lines created by Ott, Studio Ramirez sought to continue the sense of movement and fluidity through to the interiors. The main lobby is designed around a 12,000 gallon aquarium filled with colorful tropical fish, this is Miami after all.

With such a prominent design feature already inherited into a project we started the design process with the basic principles of aquarium design. We knew the overall tone of the lobby needed to be darker to allow for the proper viewing of the aquarium while exploring finishes that spoke to the luxury residential tower we were designing.

The complexities didn’t end there, the lighting solution also had to be mindful of the aquarium while being a design led solution. The result is a thoughtful approach to creating a unique lobby experience.

From the Pool Deck to the Gym, the interiors of Echo Brickell were designed to offer a distinct respite from the hustle of the Financial District and Brickell Avenue. Walking through the doors, you’ve arrived at a luxury urban oasis.
